Everybody knows us Geordies know how to party so the legendary local nightlife should come as no surprise! There’s different scenes catering for all tastes, ages and budgets. Take a look below for a snapshot of each area:

• Whitley Bay - Just around the corner from the Melrose are the pubs, bars and clubs of Whitley Bay.  The liveliest bars are situated on one main street which leads down to the seafront and the clubs.  This area is popular with Stag/Hen and other groups who join with the locals to party the night away until the early hours!
  
  If live bands or karaoke nights are your thing then you can find this locally too. However if it’s something a bit tamer you’re after then Whitley Bay can also offer cosy pubs, where the friendly local banter will keep you entertained all night. • Tynemouth - Just along the coast is the lovely village of Tynemouth. Overlooked by the ruins of a 13th century Priory and Castle, the village centre has plenty of pubs and bars frequented by the locals. A bit tamer than Whitley Bay but still really busy, especially on a Sunday evening.
• Newcastle – Voted one of the best party cities in Europe, Newcastle’s nightlife just gets better and better.  There are literally hundreds of bars and scores of clubs to choose from, catering for all tastes, pockets and ages.  Easily accessible from the Melrose, Newcastle is guaranteed to get you buzzin.  Check out the following links for more information: Pubs Newcastle
